We are Jim & Cindy Taylor, better known as "The Limey" and  "The Knife-Princess," professional dealers in Antique and Collectible Cutlery.  We offer you over 50 years combined experience and expertise in the field of "edges."

Jim Taylor (a.k.a. Sir James):  I am an ex-Sheffielder (U.K.) and I have authored numerous cutlery articles for various knife publications including:  EDGES, KNIFE WORLD and BLADE MAGAZINE.  Since immigrating to the USA in 1987, I became a familiar figure on the knife show circuit, easily recognizable by my (very proper) black English derby.  Along with Cindy, I attended  knife shows from East to West, North to South, and everywhere in between.  Since retiring from the show circuit, I am numero UNO assistant to Cindy with our eBay auctions.  I'm chief writer-editor and post office goer.

My deep, long held admiration and knowledge of Sheffield cutlery, led to my being invited to write a chapter for the internationally acclaimed tome, SHEFFIELD EXHIBITION KNIFE BOOK.

Cindy Taylor:  Who?  Never heard of her!  I began my life as the knife-princess (many of you have inquired how I came to be known as the knife-princess)...this is a LONG story, so I'll keep it short.  Way back in the 70's, I used to trade knives with a gentleman from Arkansas, it was he who coined the "handle" and it has stayed with me ever since.

I was instrumental in the formation of the Northeast Cutlery Collectors Association, and while I'm no longer directly involved since our move to Florida, the club is one of the most active and viable in the USA.  Now in its 20th year, the N.C.C.A. is a total success story.  With one-day shows every other month, and an annual show that is always a sell-out, the N.C.C.A remains the premier club in the North East.

During the 1980's, I authored cutlery articles for KNIFE WORLD and served as the "Dear Abbey" of the NATIONAL KNIFE MAGAZINE, writing a monthly "question & answer" column titled, THE YANKEE TRADER.  Also during the 1980's, I served for two terms on the BOARD of DIRECTORS of the NATIONAL KNIFE COLLECTORS ASSOCIATION.

Jim and I refer to ourselves as "THE TAYLOR TWOSOME."  We are cutlery historians and purveyors of fine quality exhibition knives, pocketknives, hunting knives, dirks, daggers, Bowie knives, military knives, Randall knives, miniatures, straight razors, safety razors, medical instruments, knife books and cutlery ephemera.  Since retiring from the knife show circuit in 2006, Jim and I have concentrated our knife sales/auctions on eBay.  My seller name is knife-princess and you can access my auctions via the seller's page.

We value our reputation highly.  If you require references as to our honesty and integrity, you need only ask, and will provide you with a long list of people to contact.
